As parents, knowing how to keep your children safe on line can seem a confusing and daunting prospect.  The on-line space is getting ever more complicated.  The below links all offer some support and ideas that you might find useful.

 

A diary date for 2017!

Safer Internet Day 2016 reached 2.8 million children and 2.5 million parents and the date and theme have already been announced for 2017.   With a theme of ‘Be the change: Unite for a better internet‘, Safer Internet Day 2017 will be held on Tuesday 7th February 2017.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has published a practical guide for parents and carers whose children are using social media.  Written by a number of child internet safety organisations, the guide from DCMS includes tips about privacy features on apps as well as conversation prompts to help families begin talking about online safety.   Click the logo to download the guide.
